Dave Bagdade - Host and Producer

Dave is an award-winning multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and author who founded the Kitchen Party Ceilidh in 2013.  Dave has been performing Celtic music on mandolin, guitar, banjo and other stringed instruments since hearing The Chieftains at the age of sixteen, and he has been a member of the Murphy Roche Irish Music Club for more than a decade.  He is a five-time gold medalist at the Midwest Fleadh, and he has also competed at the All-Ireland Fleadh in Sligo. 

In addition to performing regularly as a solo artist and with The Cousin Brothers, the New Trad Ramblers and Omos, Dave has performed and taught at venues, festivals and workshops all over the US as well as in Canada, Switzerland and Mexico.  Dave is an instructor with the Irish Arts Academy of Indianapolis, teaching mandolin, guitar and banjo, and he also teaches privately. 

In addition to releasing three albums of original music, with the fourth scheduled for 2020, and he is the author of A Year In Mudville: An Oral History of Casey Stengel and the Original Mets.
